Mar Menor Golf Resort

The course at Mar Menor golf resort was the first to be built of the Polaris World resorts, A Par 72 course at 6,153 metres, it’s a challenging course with 3 holes surrounded by a large lake.

The course is set amongst some fantastic villas and apartments which were modelled on Florida golf resorts with frontline golf view villas and apartments offering spectacular golf views, some of which we currently have for sale.

The course was originally designed by two well-known people, David Thomas designed the first nine holes of Mar Menor golf resort, par 37 of 3,275 meters as its longest distance. It really does demand some good golf shots to put the ball on its fairways with hardly any rough.

The greens are well guarded by an array of challenging bunkers and by the water of the lakes situated around the course.

The following nine holes were designed by Jack Nicklaus’s company, Nicklaus Design and play a par 35 of 2,878 m, the back nine holes allow for some easier scoring with their wide-open fairways and shortcut roughs that allow for you to really attack the greens.

The Mar Menor Golf Resort hosts a Friday frolic for members which attracts some 100+ players each Friday from the community of people living or holidaying on the resort and is a popular fixture, with prizes to be won and a great evening of food and entertainment to follow.

There is a fully stocked pro shop, driving range and putting and chipping green with the bar benefiting from views of the 18th green.

La Torre Golf Resort

La Torre golf resort is a favourite amongst many people living in the area a slightly easier course some say as it’s a Par 68 measuring 5,403 meters.

The course is set amongst the pure white apartments and villas that surround the course.

Again water plays a big part in this course with 2 fantastic par 3’s playing over the water one of which is set in front of the recently bought hotel and bars of the resort.

The shorter length of La Torre Golf Resort makes the course more playable and enjoyable for the average to a higher-handicap golfer who will appreciate the wide fairways, slower greens and beautiful surroundings of the resort.

For the better golfer, the La Torre Golf Resort still excites players as there is a great deal of strategy needed to score well around the course and some exciting tee shots to be played.

Saurines Golf Resort

Golf resort number 3 on the IRM golf experience is Saurines de la Torre Golf or La Terraza’s Golf Resort as some call it.

This course is a par 72 desert style golf course with influences of the Nicklaus golf course in Lake, Las Vegas.
A tricky course the main characteristics of the course are the undulating fairways and greens which are set amongst desert style dunes, bunkers and again water is a feature with a spectacular 6-hectare lake.

Both the 9th and 18th holes go round the lake, which makes for an exciting finale to a round on this course.

Hacienda Riquelme Golf Resort

The Hacienda Riquelme Championship golf course is a truly amazing course.

This par 72 course weaves through olive groves, wildflower meadows, and large lakes. Known for its wider fairways and uniquely contoured greens, it requires precision and strategy, making it a favourite among serious golfers.
